FAQs

Unfortunately, no more than 3 vehicles are permitted per property within the Sunrise at 1770 estate. In addition, boats (including dinghies) are not permitted within the Sunrise at 1770 estate, nor are campervans, camper trailers, boat trailers, jet skis etc. We recommend that guests utilise local boat storage facilities which are secure and very affordable. Any excess vehicles or prohibited boats will be removed from the estate at the owner's expense.

Sunrise at 1770 has strict body corporate bylaws prohibiting domestic pets within the estate, this is to protect the native flora and fauna. Our apologies. Please check out “Gibson’s Pet-Friendly Accommodation”. Their website is https://www.gibsonspetfriendly.com. Otherwise, you can search Airbnb with the filter applied for “pet-friendly”. This can really help you find a place the whole family can enjoy ;)

Yes, they all include linen and bath towels, just bring beach towels with you.

If you are travelling with a child under 4 we like to advise guests that Grasstree, The Loft, Crows Nest, Drishti and Drewhouse are all designed with outdoor deck walkways which connect the main living areas to the bedrooms. Most of these outdoor decks have no balustrades since the drop to the sand below is only a few feet. If guests have children that are crawling or very explorative we encourage them to please check our website galleries to ensure that the homes will suit their families. That said - we have had PLENTY of toddlers stay at these homes and the parents reported no concerns as long as the children keep to the main living areas with doors shut. In addition, these properties may not be suitable for children who are prone to waking in the night and looking for their parent's bedrooms.

Grasstree 26, Hidden Rise, Drishti and The Luv Shack do not have WIFI. If you have a Telstra phone with data, you will be able to use a mobile hotspot at these properties. All our other homes (Finding Solace, Drewhouse, Crows Nest, The Loft) all have free WIFI for email and social media use, not for streaming (e.g. using Netflix or Apple TV).

Unfortunately no gyms in Agnes Water but there is outdoor park equipment at the SES grounds and many beaches for jogging, swimming, surfing etc!

The Sunrise at 1770 estate is located 5 minutes drive from the centre of Agnes Water and approximately 12 minutes drive from the Town of 1770 Marina where boats leave daily (weather permitting) for reef trips to Lady Musgrave Island. For more information head to the 1770Reef website here: http://www.1770reef.com.au/ A note about Lady Musgrave Trips - we recommend if guests are looking to ensure a special reef trip to plan an extended stay (3 or more days) just in case the weather turns windy or unfavourable.

From overseas, our closest international airport is Brisbane (5 hours, 20 minutes drive). From Domestic Airports we are closest to Bundaberg (1.5 hours drive) and Gladstone (also 1.5 hours drive) - car hire is available at the airports there. You can catch a train to Miriamvale Station which is located 40 minutes drive from Agnes Water, we can arrange a rail transfer for you at an additional cost.

Sunrise at 1770 is located at 551-552 Springs Road, Agnes Water Queensland. From the centre of town, follow Springs Road past the Visitor Information Centre and drive for 5 minutes through the paperbark bushland. You will eventually reach a roundabout that separates Sunrise at 1770 North Estate (left) from Sunrise at 1770 South Estate (right). For ease of navigation, here is the google maps pin drop which can lead the way to the entrance roundabout: You may check it on the google map here.

Unfortunately there are no bars or restaurants on-site, these are located approximately 5 minutes away in the car.

The closest grocery shops are located about 5 minutes in the car to the main centre of Agnes Water. There is a very large Foodworks there, as well as a convenience store SPAR and multiple cafes and restaurants.

The road from Agnes water to Bundaberg is an easy 1.5 hour drive.

Unfortunately, the estate has bylaws in place which prohibit any guests under 18 from staying without their legal guardian. We understand that they may be mature and respectable guests however we must decline on behalf of the body corporate and the owners of the property. Our apologies, we hope they find somewhere lovely to stay.

We do not stock our own porta cots or high chairs for health and safety reasons. You are most welcome to hire these directly through Deepwater Linen Service in Agnes Water, it is located on the way into town.

Unfortunately no, there is not be a viable space for you to land a helicopter within Sunrise with the amount of trees and overhead wires around. Other owners within the estate that have helicopters or light aircraft generally land at the Agnes Water airstrip. Please contact them to make arrangements if required.

Yes, there is mobile service with most providers except Vodaphone. The mobile reception can be patchy in Sunrise, it can sometimes drop out but you will generally be able to make and receive calls on your mobile.

Unfortunately, there is a complete fire ban within the Sunrise estate and throughout our region. This includes outdoor wood heaters, braziers or any burners that have naked flames.

The Sunrise Estate features 4 x tennis courts, a half basketball court and a beach volleyball court along with the children’s playground, 2 x 25m horizon pools and a shaded children’s wading pool.

YES definitely bring bikes/ scooters/ skateboards! There is a great not-too-hilly long stretch of road (Bloodwood Ave North + South) with a max car speed of 30km p/h. Our resident kids love riding their bikes/ scooters/ skateboards etc so bring them along.

Unfortunately, the homes do not include beach toys or surfboards etc. There are plenty of places in town that sell beach equipment and surfboards. You can even hire surfboards or book a surf lesson.

All of our holiday homes are located a 2-minute drive to any of the beach access tracks within sunrise (there are some very steep hills so driving is the best option) and a 10-minute drive to the Town of 1770, 5-minute drive to the centre of Agnes Water.

The closest surf beach is Springs Beach, which is accessible from Sunrise North estate (about a 5-minute walk from sunrise north or 2 minute's drive from sunrise south). Otherwise, Agnes water main beach (patrolled with lifeguards) is a five-minute drive away from the Sunrise at 1770 estate.

The beaches accessible through the Sunrise estate are surf beaches and not great for snorkelling or diving. If you are looking to go snorkelling or diving I would suggest booking a trip to the reef so you can see all the beautiful fish and coral. The beaches in Sunrise do not have reef - they are surf beaches so diving/snorkelling not recommended for safety.

Finding Solace is located approximately 1 minute's drive from the Springs Beach access track carpark in Sunrise at 1770 North. It is about a 15 minute walk :) No crocodiles in Agnes Water, completely safe for swimming! Stingers, bluebottles and jellyfish are not a problem unless we've had northerly winds blowing for quite some time - which is rare. Springs beach is great for swimming with kids if they are not confident though the main beach of Agnes Water is patrolled with lifeguards :) Our young kids love springs though, not as many people around, very peaceful.

Sorry, no. These beaches are protected as they are turtle nesting beaches. If you wish to go 4WDing there is Deepwater National Park (2 minutes from Sunrise) and Eurimbula National Park (about 15 minutes from Sunrise). Neither of these offer driving on the beach, only sand tracks which are quite beautiful.

Unfortunately, they don’t. The Sunrise at 1770 estate has 2 x main pool areas (called The Springs Club and The China Club) which both have 25-metre pools overlooking the ocean. The Springs club has an additional children’s wading pool that is only 0.6m deep and is shaded. *All sunrise at 1770 properties enjoy access to 3 shared estate pools. No homes within sunrise have their own private pool. Unfortunately, they don’t. Drishti and Grasstree are the only homes walking distance from a pool, it takes about 10 minutes. All the other homes are located about 1-2 minutes drive from the pool parking areas.
